You know, even if we don't wanna seriously compete in the Land Grab itself, I think we should still get up a posse to go get some of the monster robots they are going to let loose for the event. Who knows? We might even loot a Protector Of The Empire armor set token - it is precisely from these types of events that these sets are gained. Of course, just how the hell the recipient will buyout his or her team-mates is another question!  Smile

Ooooo soc fight! Argh...I still haven't added the whip smiley  lol  Nah we usually do pretty good in sorting these things (usually  Grin)

We can give the land grab a shot if you guys really want to. It's highly unlikely at this point in time, I think, for us to actually win a land area, unless we get extremely lucky. The land grabs were supposed to take place one per year though, so there will be more opportunities when we are all more prepared. Another possible option is to find a society (that has a better chance of actually winning) to support, just for the experience and fun of it. And as Ram stated, the other events are usually also loads of fun, and MA sometimes throws in some nice prizes for these events, not to mention loot overall will probably be a bit higher due to all the PvPers blowing ammo for the LG...so even just a normal society hunt could go quite well.

Speak up gang, let everyone know what you all want to do.  Smile

Its my Mom's birthday at the end of this month, and I'll be travelling to essex and staying the weekend with my sister so if it turns out to be at this time, I wont be available for any of it. And, at 75 yrs old, i wont be ignoring her to play eu.

I said in soc chat the other day, and i'll say it here. Whether or not we try out for a la this year it doesnt matter. We arent nearly ready yet, but thats not defeatist its just being realistic. Of course it totally depends on the fine details and so forth, but take heart in this: In 1 years time my avi will be a lot more skilled than it is now. All of yours will be too. In 2 years, my goal is to be 250 hp. Ubers come and go, but I kno i will be around in 10 years let alone 1. In time, as long as we are serious about our avatars progressions, we WILL be a force able to compete. Dont be dissheartened by this years absence, if we dont compete, and if we do and get our asses handed to us, again, dont lose faith. You never get to the top of your tree overnight, it takes time and a LOT of hard work. And in this game, that could also mean a lot of heartache and pain.

I have a feeling that when the new planets arrive, its gonna be like the old wild west, with hordes of participants rampaging through wilderness claiming lands and items no longer available on calypso. This could be the ushering of a new era, although in a way, welcoming back the days of old. Have faith, dont lose heart and most of all, SKILL your asses off. Skill like theirs no tommorrow, cos when these planets arrive, it really could mean a huge amount to be able to hunt the big mobs on that new land, to get the new stuff available there. I wont be saying, in 1 years time, damn, if only i could hunt that mob, i too might have looted the new mod fap. Ill be there, alongside whoever else, in with a shout, trying my best, never losing faith, dropping those mobs and looting whatever they wish to give me.

Now is the time to look forward to the things to come, there is gold in them thar hills and im gonna get some of it, I damn well swear that i will, and i want you all to be with me, getting a share of it too.

Excellent inspirational speech Tere, and every darned word of it true! So long as EU exsists & I'm alive and able, I'll be trudging along here too!

I agree with yall.  If we were to participate in the thing this time around, I don't really think we would be much more than a speed bump to the  other teams.  I might go and shoot some people just for fun, but other than that I don't think I'm in any position to take it too seriously this time around.  But next time around I'll have some bad ass guns, armor and skills, and I'll be ready!
