This question was raised in another thread, but I'll post a quick tutorial here.
To post an image, you must first have somewhere to upload the image to, so you can link to it. If you do not have web space to upload an image, create a gallery account
here. Upon creation of your gallery account, an album will be created for you where you can upload images.
Once you have uploaded your image, you it will be possible for you to display it in your post. Here's how:
- press the insert image button or you can manually type the [ img] [ /img] tags yourself.
- insert the url of your image between the tags
(To get the url of your image, simply right click the image, select properties, then copy the url under the general tab.)
an example:
[ img]http://mimilitia.info/pics/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=1743&g2_serialNumber=2[/img]
Will look like this:
If you'd like to get a bit fancier, and post a thumbnail with a link to the full-sized image (which is actually easier to read on the forum) you can do it in this format:
[ url=
full sized gallery image url] [ img]
gallery thumbnail image url [ /img] [ /url]
(Note that I added an extra space in the brackets so that they will be displayed here. Do not add that extra space when you try to post yours or it will not work.)
Example:
[ url=
http: //mimilitia.info/pics/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=1884&g2_serialNumber=2][ img]http://mimilitia.info/pics/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=1885&g2_serialNumber=2[/img][/url]
Will look like this:
You can also add text to your thumbnail link by typing it before or after the [ img] [ /img] tags:
[ url=
full sized gallery image url] [ img]
gallery thumbnail image url [ /img]
insert text here [ /url]
If you need an example:

Will look like this (when I remove the spaces from the tags)
