It's dead lol

PC is officially dead. EU crashed on me, then PC crashed on me, and it now alarms at boot time. Soooo....it'll probably be awhile before I can get back onto EU. I can still communicate via the forum from my sister's little e-machine, and I'm still able to chat on AIM via my phone if anyone wants to contact me.

I'm sure I'll see you guys on EU in a few weeks.

Well, I managed to suck a little more life out of it for now, is how I was able to log in last night lol

I took 2 dead computers and made one that sorta functions... and, just in case, I ran to Bust Buy and got a cheapie gfx card as backup 'cause I know this piece in here isn't gonna last.

Once I start collecting paychecks I'll be able to buy a piece or 2 a week to build a real computer. Almost feels like I'm on a vic20 this thing is so friggin' ancient (in computer years.)

Actually, I finally got curious enough today to call and find out that I have to drive about an hour away to pick up my paycheck and that there's no chance at all that they'll mail it to me  which is just lovely considering the place that I have to pick it up from closes at 5, isn't open on weekends, and is too far a drive for me to make it there after I get off work. Guess I'm working for free?  lol

Thats nuts! I know plenty of agencies who dont pay the cheque into the bank, and 1 place i worked for many many years ago wouldnt post the cheque to my address, but these agencies all stayed open until 6.30 allowing everyone time to collect.

I have a feeling you will be looking for another job. Hey, could be a good time to get that hangar!

I'll figure something out somehow...I sure as hell am not going to work for free.  I'm a pretty nice and generous person, but I'm not THAT generous.

As stated above, I knew the rigged computer wouldn't last long...and it didn't; it's dead again already lol

I'm going to try to get to a PC parts store this weekend.
