While downloading and installing EU onto my almost new computer, I was trolling through some of my EU pics, and was amused by this one:

Click for full size.

I seem to recall having a shot of Tere buried within a throng of probably over a quarter of a million Atrox youngs and matures. I'll see if I can dig it up. (He didn't survive, angel notwithstanding.)

In the meantime, any good pics of battle against insane odds, death at the hands of outrageous numbers, or indeed, victory, will fit nicely into this thread - Death by 1000 Cuts!

(I think it was the Caudatergus that finally did for me  Smile)

I love the angle in the crowd of Troxies!

What really impressed me is that all three of you are still alive and healthy!
How long did you last?

In that troxie one we had just finished hunting and were about to go back into Nate, when Tere-bear went on a round-up run the likes of which I have never seen. You can see I had 193 cells left, probably from 10K or more.

Notice, in the chat window, each hit from these trox was 1 pt. When your armor setup provides more protection than the hit, you will get a minimum of 1 dmg, but all the decay of a regular hit. That means that this kind of exercise is an expensive proposition. Generally, if you never get hit for more than 1 pt by a mob, your armor is too strong to use against it, and you are paying more decay than you need to. It pays to have a few favourite sets to match different levels of mobs, as well as types of attack.

I forget how long we lasted, but once you're out of ammo, there's not a lot of point fapping. I think I let my self get killed.

Not quite accurate. You will get the minimum decay for your setup, but the higher your armor, the higher its minimum decay. This is why it's important not to be over-armored on long hunts.
