Ahhh nice spot you have there. I think friedd0g and I made it up to the upper limits of the sky once, where we were getting the "this server isn't available" message when we tried to go higher, but I don't think I ever took a screenshot of it.  lol

Using the flying bug I went up and floated up and down around a spaceship with Echo once! Saw a screenie of someone doing it on EF sometime soon after Ice & dog showed me how to, so i grabbed the coords of a beacon and tried it that way. Its weird, cos it means that the ships are in fact static up there in the sky all the time. I did have those screenshots up until my comp blew up - im sure I heard someone saying that the flying bug worked quite recently as they saw some peeps doing it...havent tried it myself tho as I cant remember exactly how it was done..

Wow a shot of floating around outside a spaceship would be totally awesome. That is truly remarkable. You are right Tere, it means the ships are actually there in continuous space with the surface, which is most unexpected.

Yeah Crash, there used to be a bug (as Tere says, still may be somehow) where you could spring yourself right up into the sky, usually by lying on top of one another, then sitting or standing up suddenly. I forget exactly, to be honest. If you did it right, you could go way up in the sky, and even stay up there. I didn't know you could get into space!

This pic isn't remarkable, but appears to illustrate maximum altitude these days. If I remember correctly, its the mountain immediately north of New Switzerland. Not sure, but the position is showing in the chat window. Altitude only 511, but the mountain just sort of 'runs out' at that height to produce a small flat top, and notice that my avi is sunk into the surface almost up to the knees. I wasn't bugged at all. I have the impression you can't (or are not intended to) go higher. I think I did some jumping tests, I can't remember if it allowed me to jump up any higher.

One of the few bugs in game which was really, really fun to do. You lay on top of someone laying on the ground and pressing sit/lay down hotkey quickly (damn my memory is crap) or something similar, you would shoot high into the air and then drift back down again, but pressing sit/lay down hotkey when you start descending or just before shoots you higher again and so on until the server boundaries as ice states stops allowing you to go further. you never free fell, was always in a straight line up/down i think. And yes, calypso looked like it would if you imagine flying over it in an airplane.

People would screenie their highest position for bragging rights. When i get home ill try and find the screenshot from ef of someone floating about the spaceship and link it..if i can find it..

Oh that sunk to the knees(hahaha) i think is just a bug where they havent really opened up a bit of amathera properly, ive noticed it quite a few times in areas where amathera is reaching the area off limits thing, where you cant go any further and it rubberbands you back.

Yeah could be, though all around that peak is ok, its just on the flat top of it.

Here's another little shot, this time clearly bugged, though, which is sort of cheating. The perfect shot for this thread is one where you could probably only get where you did through a bug, but it doesn't look bugged. Anyway, I like this one. I call it 'Nexnecis Dreaming'
