If any of you happen to have any used Cisco equipment laying around that you would be willing to part with for a low price, or know someone who does, then let me know! I'm in the process of building a networking lab in my home and am in need of some cheap equipment. (Not looking for Linksys equipment, however, even though they are a branch of Cisco.)

Nat, does your company ever happen to auction off/donate/sell old equipment?  Grin

Throw in the trash? Holy crap... that is blasphemy! Haha!

What I really need at the moment are 2 more danged 2950 or 2960 switches, but I'd be willing to look at anything that isn't a doorstop that is being tossed. Routers, switches, ASAs... whatever. Of course, I wouldn't mind falling to sleep to the hum of a Nexus 7k series toy, either... although I'm sure my electric bill would probably mind a bit.  Tounge

I can probably put a cable modem onto the console server I just stashed for my lab at work and I'll give you access Smile  We have a couple 7200s (router), and a few 3750s and some 3550s (switches with routing IOS images).  You should be able to do all the switch stuff with that since a 3750 is sorta like a 2950 just with a lot of gig E ports.

3750s  OooooOOO! So many times I've needed a dang drool smiley, and I have still not added one yet.

Thought about grabbing up a 3550 to play with, layer 3 switches are fun, too.  Grin

Actually its 2 ME3750-24 metros (BGP and ISIS routing Clap), as well as a C3750 48g and another 24 port (those only do BGP and OSPF).

So... I found a gigabit port with an IP that was not used and I ditched the Cable Modem plan Smile  so much bandwidth for a few telnet connections.  Lab is CONNECTED!
