They are unable to press the "i" by their name in the member list to add comments? Very odd indeed.
Ideally I really would like for everyone to have a forum account, but in reality we cannot force people to join the forum, especially not at first. Since most of the lowest ranking members are brand new OJs, I'm sure some of them are somewhat skeptical of visiting and registering for a site run by complete strangers, or perhaps don't think it's really all that important to do so. This is why I decided on the Sergeant rank to be the rank required to have a forum account, and not for the first promotion...once they have some time invested into the society and get a promotion & start to get to know people & make friends within the society, then they will be more comfortable with & more willing to join & register with our forum.
Hmmm well....I suppose if they really can't edit that information in the society terminal, then what we could do is just be sure to try to inform everyone that we will be going through the member list once a month to clear out inactive members of the society roster. We will have to do this via word of mouth, be sure to tell each individual as you see them sign in or whatever, and ask the members who are already aware of this to pass the info on to other members that they see.
This is the information that we should give our members: Our first roster cleansing to clear out inactive society members will be on Jan 8th, and will happen once a month on the second Saturday of every month therafter. All members are encouraged to be active within the society chat, even if it is only saying hello when logging in, so that we know you are still actively participating in Entropia. Registering and posting on our society forum will also ensure that we know you are active. Since we may make mistakes at times, if you are accidentally kicked from the society for being suspected of inactivity, you may re-apply at a society terminal and we will re-accept your application.
We will have to pass this information on to as many current society members as possible, as well as inform newcomers to the society shortly after they join.
