Fear The Monkey

« on: April 20, 2011, 11:41:07 AM »

Here is a step-by-step tutorial by Monkey for the new Fight Club mission. (I did this with no help, completely found and did everything myself  Tounge)

1) Talk to Carl Tucker in Port Atlantis, he is the game advisor. If you go the the Port Atlantis "New Arrivals" TP, you head up the dock, and head right up the stairs. At the top of the stairs you take a right and he is only a few meters in front of you at that point.

2) You should now get a mission looking similar to this.

3) After you accept the mission he says that you can usually locate Jezebel Lexx at the outpost south of the Oil Rig. After searching high and at the outpost way south of the Oil Rig (2 TP Chip 2 jumps) I came to realize that there is a revival outpost a little SE of the Oil Rig yellow PvP zone outline. She can be found here.

4) Now before you accept the next mission I would advise buying bullets prior. For you have to kill 100 snablesnot/exosaurs and get back to her within 60 minutes.
*Disclaimer: When I started the mission I went to an area that I knew had snablesnots and exarosaurs. I TP'd there and first thing I killed was a Snablesnot Male. I then killed a Exarosaur and got no further progression towards the mission. So I am thinking, since this game is in fact made by MindArk, that if you kill a Snablesnot first you can only kill 100 snablesnots and vice versa.

5) After finding out I couldn't kill both mobs, I went to the one place I knew where there were decent quantities of snablesnots.

6) 100 dead, in about 33 minutes (due to more teleporting around then I wanted). Got back to her within the 60 minute mark and got my ticket.

*UPDATE*
If you fail the mission above, there is a Mission Broker by the name of Dizi at Medusa's Bazaar. Located in the 2nd floor near the shops. You can get a ticket from her after talking to her.

7) To Chug's Hideout I go!

I'm back. Got about 10 minutes before my first wave event happens in the ring so figured I would update.

8) Chug's Hideout is located at 68157, 74758. It is two jumps SW of Zychion Citadel (with TP Chip 2). Chug's Hideout did get a minor makeover and now has a TP there. So probably expect further missions to come in the future.

9) Once here you have to find the ring still. I talked to a chick RX-483 (which ends up being a robot) and got this as far as location out of her. (or it?).

10) I continued looking around talking to some of the other orangish-dots and found another chick, a little ways away and up a tunnel. Upon talking to her she gave me this info.

11) I went back to near the TP, and found the boxes the 2nd girl was talking about.

12) Went through that little "tunnel" and sure enough found the ring. Now waiting for the event to start and about 10 people are in the ring with me as well. Should be interesting.

And I'm done!  Way to go Way to go Way to go Way to go

Decent storyline to this mission. The ring wasn't anything TOO impressive, but MA couldn't of made it extremely hard or the noobs (like myself) wouldn't be able to complete it (more info coming)

13) Once the event starts, a bunch of shinikaba will spawn. To complete the mission you only have to kill one single shinikiba. But as usual I wanted to stick around and "explore" more and stuck around for the whole event.

Pic was taken just as Wave 2 was starting.

*If you aren't going to finish event skip to step 16*

14) Each wave gets progressively harder, with higher maturities of shinikiba. Wave 3 (shown in picture below) had a Atrox Old thrown in randomly and thats when the Stalkers were appearing. Stalkers really aren't that hard (hit me in full Gremlin w/ .5b plates for about 23ish). Kind of a depressing moment for me since Daikiba stalkers were impossible for me. Wave 4 had all stalkers with a Merp Dominant and Atrox Mature thrown in.

Took this pic for a decent look at the new model

15) Wave 5. It was interesting lol. The group that I had there should be thankful that Darth Skippie Boobie and I were there. The BIG BOY showed up! Was he big lol. Hit me for 83.7 on the first hit. He was one shotting just about every other noob in the ring, but Skippie tanked him like he was nothing. Has decent health pool, but wasn't a match for Skippie's mod merc. After finishing the 5th and final wave you get an achievement "Lord of the Ring". Loot of all killed mobs in the ring is shared (your portion of the loot depends on damage you do to the mob).

16) Return to Tucker to turn in the quest. You get another achievement (shown in pic) upon talking to him.

17) As I thought in my previous post, there is future work that he wants you to do. (I so smart).

18) Future jobs- You get the next job right away, its cataloging information about the Shinikiba. Aka another kill 100 mobs mission  Bang. Kind of confused because they changed my "Kill 500 Daikiba" mission to "Kill 500 Shinikiba" mission after the VU. I don't get credit for the new cataloging mission though even though I'm on the 500 step. (Oh well Cry)

Hope this helps any of you guys looking to do this mission. It's not hard at all, most time consuming part for me was finding the darn quest giver at the beginning (south of the Oil Rig) and other then that it was just the minor glitch in the mission when you have to kill 100 snablesnot/exarosaur. Hopefully you get to the event right before its starting or else that might be a minor time delay for you, I had about a 14 minute wait once I found the ring until the event started.

There is no mission reward, other then the loot you receive from the Snable/Exo and the ring mobs.
